Sr. Julio Kresteff

He serves as Minister of Production of the Province of Chubut. Born in Trelew, a producer and a leader in the agricultural sector, he was involved in work and production from an early age, a vocation that led him to found Puente Colgante with his family, a company devoted to growing and marketing cherries in the Valle Inferior del Río Chubut, the lower valley of the Chubut River.

Over the years, his experience as a producer grew into an increasingly active role in representing the sector. He is president of the Cooperativa de Productores de Cerezas (the cherry growers' cooperative), which exports cherries from Chubut to markets around the world.

That knowledge of the valley and of the needs of those who work the land later brought him to irrigation management, a central aspect of agricultural activity, when he took over the presidency of the Compañía de Riego del VIRCh (the irrigation company of the lower valley). In his youth he was also a racing driver.
