Ing. Elisa Carrión Narváez

She is an agroforestry engineer, holds a Master's degree in Tropical Forest and Biodiversity Management and Conservation from CATIE (Costa Rica), and is a doctoral candidate in Latin American Social Studies at the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba (National University of Córdoba). Her academic work has focused on the management of common-pool resources in Indigenous communities and on the links between conservation, territory, and sustainable development.

She has more than 20 years of experience with national and international organizations in Ecuador, Costa Rica, and Argentina, leading initiatives on ecosystem conservation and restoration, sustainable production, work with rural communities, and the strengthening of institutional partnerships. She has carried out field work in a range of tropical, Andean, and coastal ecosystems, as well as in territories of environmental significance such as the Amazon Basin, the Gran Chaco, Alto Chirripó, and Patagonia.

She currently serves as Forests, Carbon and Climate Change Lead for The Nature Conservancy in Argentina, where she advances strategies that integrate conservation, climate action, and territorial development.
