Tc. Carlos Amanquez

Carlos Rodrigo Amanquez holds a technical degree in Rural Tourism from the School of Agronomy of the Universidad de Buenos Aires (University of Buenos Aires). He has extensive experience in the design of public policy for sustainable development and in environmental and climate governance. He currently serves as Coordinator of the Environmental Roadmap of the Consejo Federal de Inversiones (the Federal Investment Council).

He served as Provincial Director of Planning and Management for Sustainable Development at the Ministry of Infrastructure and Public Services of the Province of Buenos Aires (2024-2025) and as General Coordinator of the National Climate Change Cabinet of Argentina at the Ministry of Environment and Sustainable Development (2020-2023). He has advised local and provincial governments as well as legislators.

For eighteen years he has worked in national and international civil society organizations and in government agencies, advising on, designing, and implementing projects on the environment, sustainable development, public policy, and legislation for development, particularly on environmental and climate action issues. He has coordinated national, regional, and international projects, campaigns, and resources on the Sustainable Development Goals, water, climate change, and energy.
