Tc. Héctor Abel Nievas Arroyo

He has an extensive career in fire management, forest fire prevention, and natural resource management in the Province of Chubut. Since April 2025 he has served as Secretary of Forests of the Province of Chubut, after more than two decades of professional work within the Servicio Provincial de Manejo del Fuego (SPMF, the provincial fire management service).

Over more than 27 years of experience, he held a range of operational and leadership responsibilities within the SPMF, among them base chief, Operations Coordinator, and Executive Director General of the agency.
